Alaska High School Football Huddle
Less than two months from the start of the 2009 Alaska high school football season, Kenai Central head football coach Jim Beeson is stepping down after 19-years as the main man. According to the Peninsula Clarion, Beeson must step down in order to become assistant principal at the school.
No successor has been named for the man that last season became the fifth Alaska high school football coach to win 100 games, although according to the report, the replacement will come from the current staff. Beeson retires with a 103-60 record and four small school state championships.
