Alaska High School Football Huddle
Quite a start to the high school football season as the two top teams in the Alaska Sports Broadcasting Network Pre-Season Poll tumbled. #1 North Pole now has to go back to work in the Big Schools classification after a 17-7 loss to Colony. In Small Schools, pre-season #1 and three-time champ Soldotna took a double hit as the Stars lose their season-opener, plus see their 29-game win streak go down the tubes in a 34-21 loss to West. Soldotna now goes into the record books tied with East for the longest win streak in Alaska high school football history.
