Who says it takes a while for the offense to catch-up with the defense? With only nine days of practice, defending Small Schools champ Soldatna and North Pole proved that each others' defense has a little catching-up to do as Soldatna opened the season with an impressive 62-42 win.
In combining to pass the century mark in points, Soldatna used a tough running attack and only passed twice. The Stars ended the night with 419 yards on the ground while North Pole had a balanced attack with 286 yards rushing and 169 passing.
